The High Priestess

Communication through air and spirit.The high priestess acts as the conduit through which nature speaks. She is the voice of bird song, the brook, the wind. The High Priestess is the first in the triad of women archetypes, of virgin, mother, and crone. Full of exuberance for life she relies on her noted attributes of dexterity, intelligence, and charisma in embracing life. She is a vestal virgin by choice, and keeps her kindling available for matters of spirit alone. She trusts her intuition, and she acknowledges the moon's guidance in ritual which helps her to maintain connection with the natural world, reality and illusion, and her goddess given psychic abilities.
