The Tower

Unconsciously inspired by 9/11, but still using conventional tarot symbolism of the hanged man falling off a tall building, the meaning of the tower card is destruction. Think of the biblical tower of Babel and you have the general notion of the card. Enlightenment is forced upon us by the ripping away of idol beliefs that have no bearing on our spiritual reality. Knowledge is destroyed, or obliterated, hence we find innocence again. When you get this card in a reading, know that a fresh start is at hand.
